South Africa’s biggest startup conference #Leaderex2017 has come and gone.
Held today at Sandton Convention Centre, Johannesburg, the event has become something of an annual tradition for many entrepreneurs and business execs.
The focus this year was on innovation, leadership and entrepreneurship with many of the masterclasses focusing on what the future holds for businesses, and how to prepare for it.
The master classes are something the conference has become well known for, and as always, featured well-known CEOs, successful entrepreneurs and thought leaders.
This year they hosted fan favourite, Vusi Thembekwayo (My Growth Fund), investor Clive Butkow (Kalon Venture Partners) and startup founders like Dov Girnun (Merchant Capital), Lungisa Matshoba (YOCO) and Lorien Gamaroff (Bankymoon).
In addition to their headline sponsors, Liberty, the JSE, and Standard Bank among others, exhibitors this year included business schools like the University of Pretoria’s GIBS, the funding platform, Finfind and incubators like Raizcorp and The Riversands Incubation Hub.
