As many as twenty 100% black owned Out of Home (OOH) advertising companies are set to benefit from a public private partnership empowerment deal launched in Pretoria earlier this week.

Leading outdoor and street pole advertising company, ADreach, has partnered with the Gauteng Premier’s Office – Youth Development Department to pilot their franchise model.

The PPP is closely aligned with Gauteng Premier David Makhura’s commitment to focus on boosting Gauteng’s economy and employment over the next five years.

Oabale Lekgetho and Katlego Mosimane of Eyeronic were appointed as the first franchisees to be based at the Winterveldt Business Hub. They have been given rights to street pole advertising in the Ga RankuwaWinteveldt and Soshanguve regions (through ADreach’s contract with Tshwane and nationally wherever ADreach has rights.

In addition, they will also be provided with 300 frames (an investment of approximately R300 000.00) on a non-interest-bearing basis and at least six digital signs.

On being chosen by ADreach as a franchisee hub, Lekgetho and Mosimane said: “This is an incredible opportunity we have been given, and because of ADreach’s guidance and confidence in us we can fulfil our dream of starting and growing our business.”

The franchisee will in turn be contractually obligated to promote 10 small enterprise development businesses in and around their area annually and make available no less than 30 advertising signs during this time, for this purpose.

On the launch of the first OOH company and SED, ADreach Group CEO Brad Fisher said they are looking forward to working with the Gauteng Premier’s office on future programmes.

“Today we celebrate the positive outcomes that result when government and corporates work together for the benefit of South African citizens. I know the Winterveldt Hub is going to have a remarkable impact on the community and surrounding areas in which it operates,” he said.
