EBonoko Holdings is hosting their annual Back To Kasi Seminar, which focuses on Township Economic Revitalization.

The purpose of the event is to promote merchandising within townships, and inspire the youth. The panel of speakers includes DJ Sbu, Sibusiso Ngwenya (SkinnySbuSocks) and Tshepo Mohlala (Tshepo the Jean Maker).

According to their press release, the focus will be on reshaping the psyche of merchandising within townships and give business insight on how to promote products using digital platforms.

This happens through facilitating multi-stakeholder participation and involvement. The mission is to promote the township economy through entrepreneurship.

All events over the years have managed to draw between 200-350 people on average and so far, over 3000 people have been to their 12 seminars. Small Township businesses ran by the township youth will be given the opportunity to come exhibit their products at the event.

This year’s first event will be held at Tsakani (Faranani Hall) on the 28th of April from 09:00 am –15:00 pm, with the theme titled “Building Township through Merchandising”.
