Telecommunications executive with 30+ years of leadership across the technology and commercial domains of the industry, including tenures as Group CEO, CCO, and executive head of OSS/BSS operations. Proven record of growing operator market share in highly competitive markets, leading business turnarounds, and directing complex merger and acquisition programmes — from due diligence and financial modelling through to full operational integration.
Experienced across the full spectrum of market conditions: greenfield launches, distressed-company turnarounds, and post-acquisition integration. Combines board-level strategy and full P&L ownership with hands-on command of commercial operations (marketing, sales, customer service, logistics) and technology operations (mobile and fixed networks, OSS/BSS). Has consulted to operators and manufacturers across Africa, Australia, and Europe, and served as Chairman of the Board of South Africa’s number portability company.
