Sibusiso Hlongwane is the Founder and Creative Director of Grimson Darkhand Media, a South African multidisciplinary creative company working across publishing, visual storytelling, animation, design, apparel and digital media.
His approach combines creative direction, illustration, storytelling, entrepreneurship and technology, with a particular interest in developing original intellectual property and creating platforms through which independent African creators can build audiences and commercial opportunities.
Through GDM, he is developing a portfolio of interconnected creative ventures, including publishing projects, the PARADOSE animated universe, ARTMAZE creative media initiatives and Urban Nomad apparel and lifestyle products.
His broader objective is to build GDM into a sustainable creative-media company that can develop original African intellectual property while providing practical creative and digital services to other businesses and creators.
