General Information

I am Margaret Makhubela, an entrepreneur, property investor and Managing Director of Karee Gardens Guest House and Spa in Welgedacht, Springs. I hold a Bachelor of Technology in Extraction Metallurgy and a Bachelor of Technology in Quality Management, with professional experience in quality systems and auditing.

I began my property investment journey in 2010 and have since built a portfolio of five properties. My experience as a landlord inspired me to enter the hospitality industry and establish Karee Gardens Guest House and Spa in 2021.

Under my leadership, Karee Gardens has expanded its accommodation, spa, conferencing and event services while creating employment opportunities within the local community. My entrepreneurial journey has also been featured on Property Channel and the Riches & Beyond property game show.

I am passionate about business growth, excellent customer service, financial sustainability and supporting local entrepreneurs. My vision is to grow Karee Gardens into a trusted South African hospitality and wellness brand where every guest feels welcomed, valued and inspired to “Choose Happiness.”
