We have been improving the SME Hub community to make it more useful, more genuine, and more rewarding to take part in. Here is what has changed and what it means for you.
A smarter community feed
Your feed is no longer a plain list of the newest posts. It now surfaces the most valuable conversations for you, using a few signals:
- Engagement — posts that members are actively commenting on and resharing rise to the top.
- Live discussions — conversations happening right now are given a boost.
- Your network — posts from members you are connected to, and from groups you belong to, are prioritised for you.
- Freshness — recent posts are favoured, but a great discussion from yesterday will not disappear just because it is a day old.
Because of this, no two members see exactly the same feed in the same order — it is tailored to you, and it refreshes so you keep seeing new things.
Less noise, more conversation
Posts that simply push links off the platform — especially to social media — are now moved to the end of the feed, and no single member can dominate the top of your feed. The result is more genuine business conversation and less self-promotion. See our community rules for the full detail.
Cleaner link previews
When you share a link, it now appears as a tidy, compact preview card rather than a large banner — so posts are easier to scan and the conversation stays front and centre.
Profile photos
A profile photo is now required to take part in the community. It helps members recognise and trust one another. If you have not added yours yet, it takes under a minute — see “Why your profile photo matters, and how to add yours”.
We are continuing to improve the community. If you have ideas or feedback, we would love to hear them.
